Normal Skin and Its Suitable Products

Normal skin is that skin which has well balanced oils and fatty acids not greasy nor dry. It looks healthy, smooth, tender, supple and elastic. Normal skin has the ideal level of moisture. It is the ideal skin that all ladies wish to have. It has a healthy colour tone free of radicals, glowing and soft to touch. Ideal skin also need to be taken care of to remain ideal starting from following healthy diet and ending with prevention and protection.

Nourishing the skin from the inside out:

Skin care starts with healthy diet whatever type of skin you have whether it is dry, greasy or normal the skin needs certain essential nutrients at all times. More than often healthy skin loses its glow due to an unhealthy diet. Therefore, those who have beautiful skin must be committed to only eat fresh vegetables rich in all the nutrients that the skin needs specially Sulphur which plays an essential role in the health of connective tissues such as bones, muscles and skin.  Some of the recommended food rich in Sulphur include onion, garlic and eggs. Zink is also one of the essential elements needed by the skin for the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands which produce skin essential oils and help to repair skin damage and keep it soft and supple. Zinc is available in whole grains, nuts and fish. Other essential nutrients needed by the skin are antioxidants which need selenium for their normal functioning. Selenium is found in Brazilian nuts.

In addition, Antioxidants including Vitamin C and E support the immune system prevent skin damage and help in producing collagen. Vitamin C is found in Oranges, Blueberries, Strawberry, Broccoli and Sweet potato. While vitamin E is found in Almond, Hazelnut and Avocado. Additional recommended food for healthier skin may include lettuce, celery, cauliflower, cabbage, radish and tomato.

Moreover, for a healthier skin, it is important to follow a diet low on carbohydrates and sugar. Carbohydrates are quickly broken into glucose in the body encouraging the production of insulin to lower it back to its normal level but also damaging collagen and speeding up the appearance of wrinkles.


Skin cleansing:

Regular skin cleansing with water and natural cleanser for normal skin is vital. Masks and cosmetics with natural ingredients are also recommended as long as it is free of harmful chemicals that can cause irritation. So care must be taken in selecting products free of paraben, phenoxyethanol and phthalate. For more cleansing it is recommended to make a facial steam path once every fortnight to improve blood flow and free the skin form any radicals and harmful elements.


Skin protection:

In general, the skin should not be exposed to excessive heat or coldness as this can easily damage skin cells. Also, avoid long exposure to direct sunlight to protect the skin from harmful sun rays. It is also recommended to apply a sun protection cream to prevent irritation or inflammation or causing the appearance of brown spots.

Skin massage:

Skin massage is considered to be an important practice for the health of the skin as it helps improving blood circulation. Therefore, skin experts recommend making a gentle massage for the skin three times per week using circular motions from the lower part of the face moving upward towards its top. It is also recommended to do the massage with the help of almond oil which is rich in the beneficial vitamin E.

 Avoiding makeup:

Although makeup can enhance your beauty or give you a new look, using it regularly is harmful to the skin. Thus, it is recommended to reduce its use as much as possible and limit its use to special occasions only.
